ICEST 2024
Introduction
The Faculty of Science and Engineering of Nusa Cendana University (FST-UNDANA) strives to be a prominent centre of Science and Engineering research to enhance its global competitiveness. Located in a dry climate, FST-UNDANA is an adaptable faculty that continuously promotes the richness of archipelagic areas in East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur) through research and innovations. As described in the strategic plan, FST-UNDANA is committed to achieving its goals: strengthening efficient research and community service in STEM by utilising excellent local knowledge and resources in a globally oriented institution.
As it faces present and future changes and challenges, FST-UNDANA recognises the influence of local knowledge in enhancing the adoption of STEM-based innovation and technology in archipelagic regions. STEM can be integrated with local knowledge to ensure sustainable development can adapt in a rapidly changing world. Therefore, introducing alternative methods, systematic approaches, and compelling research collaborations throughout the conference would enable the institution to achieve its goals.
Furthermore, the FST-UNDANA acknowledges the importance of displaying research outcomes and expanding networking opportunities. The upcoming “International Conference and Exhibition on Science and Technology (ICEST)” 2024 event will provide a platform for researchers and stakeholders to establish new collaborations and contacts, broaden their knowledge, and share best practices.
The biennial ICEST, organised by FST-UNDANA, provides an excellent way to stay connected with peers in the field and further advance research aims. ICEST offers participants far-reaching and ground-breaking research outcomes that contribute to a well-informed decision-making process from the institutional to a broader level.
ICEST 2024
Goals
The third ICEST, organised in 2024, aims to create a knowledge-sharing space for experts, academicians, and professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The knowledge and expertise shared will encourage the creation of new ones, support sustainable development in archipelagic regions like East Nusa Tenggara (ENT), and contribute to lifelong learning in the broader community.
